“I think what we’ve seen from our team unfortunately in the first half is clearly not competitive, but I don’t know that we’ve seen our team for more than a short stretch at the early part of the season,” Ricco said, alluding to the injuries that have kept their team from being in one piece. “Hopefully in the next few weeks, get Ces back today, see (Todd) Frazier and (Jay) Bruce back in the lineup. The way (Amed) Rosario started to develop. We have our young guys in (Brandon) Nimmo and (Michael) Conforto in there playing. One of the goals for the end of the season, the rest of the season is to be able to evaluate our club going into next year.
