These Are the Cheapest Weekend to Fly This Summer

If you’re still putting the final touches on your family’s summer vacation plans, and by “final touches” I mean picking date, then Kayak has got some suggestions for you.

The trip-planning site took a look at airfares for the next few months and came up with a few weekends where you’re likely to get a better deal than others, Money reports.

The “best” weekend for air travel the summer is currently the weekend of August 25th. The median fare for the weekend is $305, which as low as that number gets before fall hits. The next two lowest-priced weekends are September 8, with a median airfare of $311 and September 1 (Labor Day weekend!), with a median airfare of $312.

Worth noting, those numbers are median prices, so your airfare (obviously) will vary based on where you plan on traveling. If you already have a destination picked out, most airlines will let you view fares for that destination on a calendar view. While the weekends Kayak picked out might be a good place to kick off your search, you might find that another weekend is actually bit cheaper to your preferred vacation spot.

Bottom line: there are still some deals out there to be had, you just need to do a little research to find them.
